12-Year-Old Girl Missing in San Gabriel Valley

Destiny Quashay Beasley disappeared the same day she was disciplined at school, and police believe she may be worried about going home

A 12-year-old girl is missing in the San Gabriel Valley, and authorities are asking for the public's help in finding her.

Destiny Quashay Beasley was reported missing Wednesday when she did not return home from Janson Elementary School in Rosemead, the San Gabriel Police Department said in a news release.

Police said Beasley attended school Wednesday, but she did not walk home from school with her friends as usual.

Although she does not have a history of running away, police said Beasley was disciplined at school Wednesday and may be concerned about returning home to face consequences.

Beasley is African American, stands 5 feet 7 inches tall, and weighs about 130 lbs.

She has black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a dark blue polo shirt and dark blue short pants: her school uniform.

Anyone with information about Beasley is urged to call the San Gabriel Police Department at 626-308-2828.
