A small earthquake struck south of the Coachella Valley Thursday, in nearly the same location where two other small quakes were recorded Wednesday.

Thursday's magnitude-3.6 quake hit just before 4:30 p.m., about 17 miles south-southwest of La Quinta, and just north of the Riverside-San Diego county line, according to the United States Geological Survey.

There were no reports of injuries or damage from the quake, but around 50 people reported feeling the quake on the USGS "Did You Feel It?" website, including residents from La Quinta, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Indian Wells, Rancho Mirage, Indio, and Anza.

Two other quakes struck at nearly the same location Wednesday night, according to a USGS earthquake map. The map lists a magnitude-3.1 quake at 7:30 p.m. and a magnitude-2.7 quake just after 8:30 p.m.
