A man was struck and killed by a car on the westbound 60 Freeway in the city of Industry Friday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The victim’s car broke down on the eastbound 60 Freeway, just east of Crossroads Parkway. Authorities believe he tried to run across the dimly lit westbound lanes and was fatally hit about 8:30 p.m.
CHP said this is not a hit and run.
Three westbound lanes were shuttered for an investigation late Friday, according to a SigAlert issued for the area.
