A man was outside a Glendale home Monday night when he was fatally shot by an attacker who approached him from behind and opened fire.
No arrests were reported early Wednesday.
Officers responded to a shots fired call near the intersection of Boynton Street and Palmer Avenue about 9:15 p.m. and located the victim, who died at the scene, according to Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department. A witness gave police a limited description of the shooter as a man in his 50s, Suttles said.
A motive for the shooting was not immediately available.
The victim was visiting family members in the neighborhood. He was outside a house with another man, possibly walking a dog, when he was shot.
The name of the victim was not disclosed.
