Authorities will be out in force over the holiday weekend, setting up DUI checkpoints and looking for impaired drivers.
According to the Orange County Register,
City police departments have scheduled DUI/Drivers License checkpoints and some will conduct saturation patrols.
Brea Police is holding a DUI/Driver's License checkpoint on Friday from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. on Imperial Highway east of Valley View in Yorba Linda.
Checkpoints are also planned in Placentia, Anaheim, and LaHabra on Friday and Saturday.
"If we catch you driving impaired, we will arrest you. No exceptions. No excuses," Sgt. Bill Smyser told the OC Register.
Last year, the California Highway Patrol made 1,417 DUI arrests.
