A Panga boat washed ashore off the coast off Rancho Palos Verdes Thursday, and about a dozen people were detained.
Authorities went to the 5300 block of Palos Verdes Drive South at 8:50 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Law enforcement authorities detained about a dozen people, and sought several others in the area, according to the county fire department and reports from the scene. No injuries were reported.
