One person is dead and 10 others are injured after a pleasure boat crashed into the Alamitos Bay jetty in Long Beach, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
A man aged 40 to 50 died at the scene.
Eleven people boarded the 48-foot pleasure craft, 10 of those were transported to a hospital, and three of those were listed as critical.
Some of the passengers were rescued in the water after the boat sank.

US Coast Guard Richard Uranga said the boat appeared to going at a high rate of speed.
"It’s very important when a boat is coming into court, needs to slow down, has to be very careful, has to know the waters well," said Uranga.
The boat is expected to be pulled out of the water on Friday as clean-up efforts are underway, according to Long Beach Fire.

"Our incident management division was on scene so they inspected it and looked around for any pollution as far as water and fuel – out there – but there wasn’t anything out there. Long Beach Police they are doing to do round about patrols on the water," said Uranga.
