The Bolsa Chica Land Trust is a non-profit organization dedicated to saving and restoring the entire Bolsa Chica for future generations. The mission of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust is to acquire, restore and preserve the entire 1,700 acres of the mesa, lowlands and wetlands of the Bolsa Chica, and to educate the public about this natural treasure.
We have many programs that aim to restore Bolsa Chica to natural habitat and to educate people about the importance of saving Bolsa Chica. We are also trying to acquire the last remaining land from developers that is rich in archaeological discoveries.
Volunteers are needed to work as "stewards," which meet twice each month, to restore native plant habitat at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. We plant and water native plants, take out non-native plants, and maintain the trails. To volunteer, click here.
