At least one person suspected in a burglary at a Beverly Hills pharmacy was arrested early Wednesday following the crime and a pursuit in a high-performance SUV that ended about 15 miles away in southern Los Angeles County.
Officers responded at about 3 a.m. to a break-in at Pharmacy 90210 on Wilshire Boulevard after receiving a call from a witness. Up to four masked burglars in hoodies were seen leaving the pharmacy in a stolen white Dodge Durango Hellcat -- a high-performance version of the SUV capable of a 4.7-second 0-to-60 run with it supercharged V8.
The driver failed to pull over, leading to a high-speed early morning chase.

"A brief vehicle pursuit ensued; however, the suspects managed to evade the responding officers," Beverly Hills police said in a statement. " Officers then requested aerial support to locate and track the suspects."
The driver continued through downtown Los Angeles and communities to the south with an LAPD helicopter tracking the SUV, speeding on the 10 Freeway without lights on. The driver exited the freeway and entered downtown LA near LA Live before heading south.
The occupants abandoned the SUV near Wilmington Avenue in Watts and ran into a building. One burglar was taken into custody and the stolen SUV was impounded.
Officers surrounded the area where the other burglars were last seen.
Details about what was stolen from the pharmacy were not immediately available.
