All lanes of the southbound 110 Freeway were reopened Friday after a tow truck driver crashed, authorities said.
The crash was reported around 1:09 a.m. just north of Vernon Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The tow truck driver struck sand barrels in front of a concrete divider and flipped over landing on its roof, according to the CHP.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported to a hospital. His condition was unknwon.
Southbound lanes were closed for about an hour, according to the CHP.
CHP cancelled a SigAlert and all lanes were reopened around 4:55 a.m.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
