9-year-old boy killed in car and Metro bus crash

The bus driver and three people in the car were transported the hospital, where the child died

A 9-year-old boy was killed and three people were injured when a car and Metro bus collided Monday at a West Rancho Dominguez intersection.

The crash involving an eastbound Metro Line 127 bus and Hyundai Elantra was reported at about 10:30 a.m. near the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue at San Pedro Street in the southern Los Angeles County community.

The boy died at a hospital. Two other people in the car were injured.

The bus driver suffered minor injuries, Metro said. There were no passengers on the bus.

The California Highway Patrol is investigated what led up to the fatal crash.
