Cowabunga: Open Casting Call for Ninja Turtles Movie

Hollywood seeks foot soldiers

Hollywood is in search of martial artists to join Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo in the upcoming live-action "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie.

Obviously, applicants would prefer to star as the fifth ninja turtle (Botticelli?) or perhaps some new mutant creature Eastman and Laird never even dreamed of -- but alas, this tryout is for bad guys only.

That's right. The Foot Clan is looking for new recruits, MTV reported.

The open auditions will be held Saturday, July 18, at the Hollywood & Highland center. Each participant will get 30 seconds to wow the judges with a single-person martial arts demo.

Wannabe foot soldiers must be at least 14 years old, and kids under 18 must have adult permission.

And most importantly, do not bring any weapons -- it's all fun and games 'til a 14-year-old throws a ninja star at a tourist.
