A man is in stable condition after being involved in a deputy-involved shooting in Compton Wednesday night, officials said.
The shooting occurred around 10:50 p.m. near West Compton Boulevard and North Paulsen Avenue. Deputies were driving in the area of Compton Boulevard and Wilmington Avenue when they saw two people wearing ski masks running across the street, one of whom turned toward the deputies with a handgun, officials said.
One man was struck and taken to the hospital. Another man remains outstanding.
The two people wearing ski masks may have been involved in a robbery at a business on the 700 block of Compton Boulevard, officials said.
No Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies were injured.
