Streets in downtown Los Angeles were closed early Monday afternoon for a bomb squad investigation.
Officers responded to the 500 block of South Flower Street early Monday afternoon after a report of a suspicious van parked in the area. Traffic was routed away from the street, but no evacuations were ordered.
A bomb squad robot was at the scene.
South Flower Street was closed between Fifth Street and Wilshire Boulevard. The road reopened just before 4 p.m.

After officers checked under the van and opened its doors, authorities began taking down police tape in the area. Details about the report and whether anything of note was inside the van were not immediately available.
