Eight Dogs Killed in Pomona House Fire

Three people got out safely, but the dogs didn’t make it after a house fire on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020.

Eight dogs were killed Wednesday morning in a house fire in Pomona.

Firefighters were called to a home near Park and McKinley avenues at 1:25 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The fire was extinguished about 2:10 a.m. and eight dogs were discovered dead, the department said.

No people were injured.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
