Police in Rancho Cucamonga are looking for two thieves who committed a daylight robbery at a local jewelry store.
The two men entered Eddie Jewelry, located at 6658 Carnelian St., on Thursday morning pretending to be construction workers on their lunch hour. The two thieves drew out their guns, hopped over the counter and rounded up the three store employees into the backroom.
One thief grabbed the jewelry while the other kept an eye on the employee hostages.
The suspects exited in a stolen getaway car parked nearby.
The store employees were able to free themselves and managed to chase the robbers. One worker stayed behind to phone the police.
