Los Angeles County Fire Chief P. Michael Freeman delayed his retirement for one year it was announced Monday.
In an e-mail from Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich's office "Freeman has delayed his retirement for one year to ensure that the Department continues to provides quality fire service in uncertain financial times."
“This is an early Christmas gift to Los Angeles County,” said Supervisor Antonovich. “I am pleased that Chief Freeman will continue to provide strong and effective leadership to our Fire Department for another year, Antonovich noted.”
