Firefighters protected residences from a fire that started at a vacant house and spread to nearby trees Friday in a Hollywood neighborhood.
The vacant house burned in the 1200 block of North Bronson Avenue. Nearby buildings, including a three-story apartment, were threatened by flames, but firefighters on ladders were able to protect other residences.
One person was injured, suffering what authorities described as minor burns.
Details about a cause of the fire were not immediately available.
