One person was killed in a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department shooting Wednesday in Norwalk.
In a news release, the department said a person was struck by gunfire and died at the scene. That man was driving a box truck involved in a pursuit, City News Service reported.
Details about that individual's identity, why deputies opened fire and what led to the chase were not immediately available.
The southbound 605 Freeway exit ramp was closed for the investigation. Aerial video showed deputies searching for evidence on the freeway and nearby roads.

The box truck was parked on a median.
No deputies were injured.
