Traffic has resumed moving through the Grapevine section of the Golden State (5) Freeway in the Gorman/Lebec area shut down by snow earlier today, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP has begun snow escorts for vehicles northbound at Parker Road and southbound at Grapevine Road, the CHP said. Motorists should expect delays.
The shutdown began at about 4:30 p.m., when two northbound lanes of the 5 Freeway were closed, according to the CHP.
Traffic was then stopped at about 7 p.m. on all northbound lanes at Parker Road and all southbound lanes at Grapevine Road, according to the CHP.
The closures were extended down to Laval Road on the southbound side about 7:30 p.m., according to the CHP.
