Hit-and-run driver sought after hitting 15-year-old boy on bike in South LA

After hitting the teen, the vehicle fled eastbound on Nadeau Street

A 15-year-old boy riding a bike was hospitalized after a driver hit him in South Los Angeles before fleeing the scene.

The April 7 crash occurred on the 2100 block of Nadeau Street at around 3:30 p.m. in the Florence-Graham area, according to police. Video shows a black four-door 2025 BMW swerving onto the sidewalk, right into the bicyclist. He’s then knocked off the bike and onto the hood of the car.

The vehicle then fled eastbound on Nadeau Street.

The victim was transported to St. Francis Medical Center by the Los Angeles County Fire Department. His injuries were described and minor to moderate.

"He has a concussion. He has stitches in his mouth and is in pain, bruises everywhere," said Eric Carrillo, the victim's father.

Carrillo said his son, Sebastian, was on his way home from school when he was hit by the driver. He's since had to get eight stitches and remains at home recovering.

"It just hurts me," Carrillo said. "It's hard to see people out there driving like that."
