Hmmm, What Can We Send to Mexican Cops?

Los Angeles County Supervisor Gloria Molina on Tuesday called for sheriff's officials to check for possible surplus equipment that can be sent to Mexican authorities battling drug traffickers.

Extra items such as bulletproof vests and vehicles from Los Angeles County could help make a difference to law enforcement officials south of the border, Molina said.

"We should do our part to keep communities safe on both sides of the border," she said.

The Board of Supervisors will have the final say on what items are sent to Mexico.
