Crews Extinguish Structure Fire in South LA

The fire burned in the 1000 block of East Vernon

One injury was reported after crews extinguished a fire early Friday at a commercial building in South LA.

The fire burned a one-story building in the 1000 block of East Vernon. Firefighters battled the blaze from the roof of an adjacent house and the ground before it was knocked down at about 6 a.m.

The injured individual's condition was not immediately available.

Crews are attempting to determine the cause of the fire.
