Sheriff's officials Saturday identified four people arrested as suspects in a Palm Desert jewelry store heist and nearly 45-minute pursuit that ended in Moreno Valley.
The suspects took off in a vehicle after a reported robbery Friday afternoon at Leed's and Sons Fine Jewelers in the El Paseo shopping district in Palm Desert and took deputies and California Highway Patrol officers on a pursuit that saw speeds reach 100 mph, sheriff's deputy Angel Ramos said.
The vehicle's driver was weaving through traffic, even sliding onto both shoulders to try to evade officers, radio transmissions indicated.
Zaque Xavier Sykes, 27, Joshua Marquise Madison, 18, and a 16-year-old boy, all of Compton; and Brandon Christian King, 20, of Los Angeles, were arrested Friday, according to Ramos.
The boy's identity was not released because of his age.
The chase veered onto westbound State Route 60 from Interstate 10 and came to an end once the driver exited on Heacock Street in Moreno Valley.
The three suspects left the vehicle in a residential area of the city, but soon were arrested by deputies at about 4:30 p.m., Ramos said. "There was a foot pursuit and all three were taken into custody," Ramos said.

The jewelry store that was robbed was in the 73000 block of El Paseo.
Most of the stolen items were recovered, along with a replica weapon, Ramos said.
The three adult suspects were booked into the Indio Larson Justice Center in connection with the robbery and evading arrest. Bail was set at $250,000 for each.
