The LAPD's new headquarters looked great.
It was the flag draping the front of the building that needed some work.
When police unveiled the new headquarters over the weekend, ceremonies included a giant U.S. flag on the side of the building. One problem -- it was facing the wrong way.
U.S. flag code states a vertically displayed flag should have the stars on the viewers' left. The stars were to the right of viewers at Saturday's ceremony.
Lt. John Romero said the department meant no disrespect and will be more careful in the future.
As for the SWAT guys rapelling down the side of the building? That was brilliant.
