A man said he was defending his home when he shot and killed a 26-year-old home invasion suspect who forced his way through the front door Sunday in Ontario, police said.
Police responded to a home invasion call after the wife of the man called 911 at 5 a.m.
The man’s wife told dispatchers that her husband shot the man after he forced his way through the door.
Officers found the suspect dead in the entry way when they arrived in the 800 block of West Mission Boulevard.
The identity of the man was not released until his family could be notified.
