A man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was stabbed Thursday morning at a Metro train station in Pasadena.
The stabbing was reported at about 7:45 a.m. at the Metro Sierra Madre Villa station. The man in his 30s suffered several stab wounds.

The stabbing occurred after a fight that started in the parking lot and continued across the bridge to the train station. The two men did not know each other, according to police.
"Metro is grateful to the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department who found and assisted a person on the pedestrian bridge leading to the Sierra Madre Station on the A Line, after that person was injured following an apparent altercation," Metro said in a statement.

The agency said the department took a person into custody in connection with the stabbing.
