One Hurt in Smash-And-Grab Robbery at Biltmore Hotel Jewelry Store

The robbery was reported at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in the 500 block of Olive Street.

There was a smash-and-grab robbery inside the historic Biltmore Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

One person was injured Friday during a smash-and- grab robbery of a jewelry store at an upscale downtown Los Angeles hotel.

The robbery was reported about 2:45 p..m. at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel in the 500 block of Olive Street, according to Officer Drake Madison of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Section.

The suspects - three men and a woman all believed to be 25-30 years old - stormed the store, shot pepper spray and smashed the jewelry cases, making off with jewelry before fleeing in a silver 1996 Lexus sedan.

A victim suffered a laceration to his head but details about how he was injured and his condition were not immediately available.
