A driver had to be pulled out of her SUV after refusing to come out when police disabled the vehicle following a pursuit that began in Orange County and spanned several cities in Los Angeles County.
The red SUV was driving northbound on the 5 Freeway the whole time. It crossed Montebello, Commerce, and Boyle Heights before making its way to the San Fernando Valley.
Police originally approached the stopped vehicle, which had Arizona plates, in Orange County, thinking it had been abandoned. The driver then took off.
Officers were finally able to lay down a spike strip in Sun Valley, popping the vehicle's tires. However, the driver refused to stop, with sparks flying as she drove on the rims at slow speeds.

The woman drove through Pacoima and Mission Hills before police spun out her car in Sylmar. Despite the SUV being disabled, the woman refused to get out, prompting police officers to break a window and then pull her out as they took her into custody.
