Deputy shooting in West Hollywood leaves one man hospitalized

A man was hospitalized following a deputy-involved shooting Saturday afternoon near a West Hollywood shopping center. Tracey Leong reports for the NBC4 News at 11 p.m. on March 29, 2025.

Authorities were investigating a deputy-involved shooting Saturday that left a man hospitalized in West Hollywood.

Deputies responded to a domestic violence investigation around 5:30 p.m. at a shopping center near the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and La Brea Avenue, according to the LA County Sheriff's Department.

The shooting occurred just before 6 p.m., leaving the man injured. He was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

No deputies were injured in the shooting. Hollywood Division officers were dispatched to assist.

The two streets were closed in both directions as a result of the ongoing investigation.
