California Highway Patrol officers took a man with his pants around his ankles, a passenger, and a pup into custody after a stolen Range Rover pursuit ended on the 105 Freeway Saturday afternoon.
The Los Angeles Police Department began pursuing the stolen Range Rover in the Hancock Park area. CHP officers took over as the driver reached dangerously high speeds.
The dark gray Range Rover pulled over on the westbound 105 Freeway just south of the 405 Freeway.
CHP splayed cruisers across all lanes to shut down traffic as they engaged in a standoff with the driver.
The driver surrendered, lying flat on the ground. When he rose to approach officers to be taken into custody, his saggy pants fell to his ankles.
A passenger revealed a black and white puppy was inside of the Range Rover. Officers detained the passenger, and carried the pup to a CHP cruiser.
The puppy appeared to be in good condition.
