Police were pursuing an SUV in the Valley area after reports came in of a man with a gun, the Los Angeles Police Department said Tuesday.
The brief chase began just before 7:30 on Glenoaks Boulevard.
LAPD's gang unit said the man behind the wheel of the black Chevy Tahoe purportedly had a gun.
He stopped the SUV at Whitnall Off-Leash Dog Park at 5801 1/2 Whitnall Highway by 7:45 p.m. and officers detained the driver.
No other information was available.
