Power has been restored in Malibu as fire crews continue to battle the over 4,000-acre Franklin Fire on Thursday.
According to Cal Fire, the Franklin Fire is burning 4,037 acres and it is currently 20% contained. It has destroyed at least nine buildings and damaged six others.
Schools in the area remained closed on Thursday due to the fire.
Crews expect to make more progress in the fire as they anticipate better weather on Thursday due to the shifting winds. They continue to work on strengthening containment lines.

Despite the continuing fight against the fire, utility crews are working to restore power to residents in the affected area.
Traffic signals were working once again along Pacific Coast Highway and some businesses at the Malibu Colony Plaza started to get power back.
Utility crews were seen working even overnight to restore power near Pepperdine University.
