Police have released surveillance video from a violent armed robbery at a Riverside convenience store in hopes of finding two thieves.
On Nov. 20 about 2:30 a.m., a man entered the Circle K located at 3223 Interchange St. Although the store is open 24 hours, the clerk was keeping the door locked and allowing customers in one at a time.
After walking around the convenience store, presumably to see if there were any other customers inside, the man unlocked the door and let in his masked accomplice, armed with a gun.
"Normally when that happens, the first guy pretends he's just a customer," said Riverside police detective Dave Smith.
Not this time, though, as both men confronted the 57-year-old and ordered her to lie on the ground.
In the video, one of the men can be seen kicking the woman.
"The suspects took the clerk's personal property, cash from the stores cash register and beer, and then walked out of the business," according to the Riverside Police Department.
