A third suspect has been arrested following the discovery of a 4-year-old girl's body in a shallow grave in the desert south of Baker, Calif., the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department announced Saturday.
Rayshawn Stanch, 26, of Adelanto was arrested Friday at 9:15 p.m. on a parole violation and suspicion of murder in the death of 4-year-old Samiah Downing. He is being held without bail.
Downing's remains were discovered Thursday outside Baker after deputies interviewed the girl's parents, 21-year-old Ronald Greer and 19-year-old Bianca Stanch, according to the sheriff's department.
"At the conclusion of the interviews, investigators were led to an area in the desert south of Baker, CA. A shallow grave was located where the 4 year-old's remains were recovered," Rod Hoops of the sheriff's department wrote in a statement.
Greer and Bianca Stanch were arrested Thursday on suspicion of murder and are being held without bail.
Rayshawn and Bianca Stanch are cousins, according to investigators.
The suspects, who all live in Adelanto, were scheduled for arraignment on Jan. 2.
