Pursuit Crash Leaves Four Hurt, Driver Runs Off in Azusa

A stolen car pursuit ended with the driver crashing into three vehicles, injuring four people, before the driver ran, police said Monday night.

The suspect was still on the loose as of 10:45 p.m. Monday.

The chase itself lasted less than a minute at 7:19 p.m.

The driver side swiped a car and then hit two cars and a motorcycle.

The collision occurred at Gladstone Street and Lark Ellen Avenue in Azusa.

Two victims were airlifted from the scene and taken to County USC Medical Center.

Five people total were hurt, and had moderate injuries.

He was described by police as a male Hispanic, 20-22 years old, with a thin build and from 5-feet 5-inches tall to 5-feet 8-inches tall.
