A high-speed police chase Saturday night ended in a South Gate neighborhood, where officers searched for the driver who ran off into backyards.
The driver led police from El Monte to South Gate, blowing through red lights and narrowly missing cars along the way.
He eventually bailed out of the car on foot and hid in a backyard. After less than two minutes hiding, NewsChopper4 spotted the man trying to sneak out from the side yard, even wearing a different shirt.
That didn't stop police, who took him into custody.
