A driver was taken into custody Wednesday night after she led police on a chase, stopping and going several times through South Los Angeles.
Police responded to a chase of a suspected drunken driver that started before 11 p.m. near Dodger Stadium.
The female driver of a red Honda Accord drove in varying speeds through South Los Angeles, running red lights and continued to drive even when she ran over spike strips.
She stopped and pulled over three times in the approximately 45-minute chase before she stopped near Imperial Highway, west of Wilmington, got out of her car and lay on the road before she was taken into custody.
No one was injured in the pursuit.
The woman will be charged with felony evading and a possible DUI, according to the Los Angeles Police Deparment Northeast Area.
