Son Arrested After Allegedly Killing Mother, Injuring Sister

Anyone with information regarding the incident is urged to call police

A 25-year-old Redlands man was arrested Saturday morning after he allegedly killed his mother and hurt his sister, police said.

Officers responded about 5:30 a.m. to a call in the 400 block of Doyle Avenue, according to a statement from the Redlands Police Department.

A 46-year-old woman was found dead and her 21-year-old daughter was injured, officials said.

Police said they found the dead woman’s son, Pablo Hernandez, Jr. outside the home. He was arrested and taken into custody on suspicion of murder and attempted murder, police said.

Hernandez’s sister was taken to a hospital where she underwent surgery. Her condition is unknown.
