Authorities concluded there was no threat to Temple City High School students and staff after an initial report of an armed person on campus, the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department said Thursday.

As investigators confirmed there was no incident to report, they lifted the lockdown order.

Deputies had rushed to the school in the 9500 block of Lemon Avenue in Temple following a call about a person walking into the school’s gym with a weapon. The call became disconnected before more information was shared.

Deputies had to clear the school while investigators looked into the validity of the call.

The Temple City Unified School District also confirmed the lockdown as school officials follow guidance from the Sheriff's Department.
