Campus police at UC Irvine are searching for a man wanted for questioning in a bizarre case of on-campus harassment.
Details were scarce and calls to the campus police department for more information were not immediately returned.
A man, pictured above, allegedly followed a UC Irvine student from a university shuttle to her on-campus apartment.
He went inside her apartment without her permission and stayed until she left, taking pictures and asking the victim to hug him several times, UC Irvine police said in a news release published Thursday.
About two weeks later, police said a man resembling the unwanted visitor was seen staring into the same female student's window from outside her apartment. He then stood outside her front door for five minutes, campus police said.
The subject is described as a white male, about 5 feet 10 inches tall with blue eyes and blond hair. UCI police said he weighs about 150 pounds.
Campus police are asking anyone who has seen this man on campus in the last six months to call Detective Sgt. Anthony Frisbee at 949-824-3398.
