A woman was killed in a fatal crash on the 57 Freeway Friday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash was reported about 6:35 a.m. at the juncture of the southbound Orange (57) Freeway to the eastbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway in the Pomona area, CHP said.
Firefighters tried to free the woman from her overturned vehicle, according to the CHP. It was not immediately clear if the woman was alive when authorities arrived.
The driver was the only person inside the car when it crashed.
The connector was closed Friday morning around 8:15 a.m., according to CHP. Officers did not know how long the connector would remain closed.
