1 teen dead, 6 others injured after shooting in Signal Hill

A teen was killed following a shooting that injured six others in Signal Hill, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department announced Sunday.

The shooting was reported Saturday around 10:16 p.m. in the 1000 block of Burnett Street.

Officers responded to the location and found 7 people suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were described as three females and four males between the ages of 17 and 19 years old.

LA County Fire transported all seven victims to three local hospitals. A female, 17, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to LASD, there was a party at the location where the shooting occurred. Investigators say that many guests were attending the party who fled following the shooting.
