A city council candidate said he had enough of watching his yard signs disappear.
David T. Vahedi, one of six candidates campaigning to replace Councilman Jack Weiss in District 5, asked a friend to set up a surveillance camera at the supporter's Rancho Park home. Vahedi said about 400 signs totaling $1,600 have been stolen.
Vahedi said the camera captured two thefts, videos of which were posted on YouTube. The videos show a woman removing the "Vahedi" sign from the front yard.
Most of the theft occurred in Beverlywood, Cheviot Hills and part of Westwood, Vahedi told the Los Angeles Times.
A police report was filed in connection with the case.
