Man Shot After Altercation at ATM in South L.A.

A man was behind bars after allegedly shooting another man in the back during an altercation at an ATM. Toni Guinyard reports for Today in LA on Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

A man was shot in the back at an ATM in South Los Angeles following a physical altercation Monday night.

Police said the confrontation happened at a bank ATM at Avalon Boulevard and Gage Avenue. The  altercation between the two men happened before one of the men allegedly fired a single shot into the other man's back, police said.

The alleged gunman fled from the scene in a blue Toyota Camry. Police located the gunman's car near 76th and Main Streets where he was found and arrested.

The injured man was taken to a local hospital where he was in stable condition.

The cause of the shooting was under investigation.
