A motorcyclist died after being ejected from his Harley Davidson motorcycle following an accident in Commerce.
The accident occurred around 11:05 p.m. Saturday on the northbound 5 Freeway at the Slauson Avenue exit when the driver of a Hyundai Sonata suddenly switched two lanes to the off-ramp and hit the motorcyclist, said the California Highway Patrol.
As a result of the impact, the motorcyclist was "thrown from the motorcycle and off the freeway, sustaining fatal injuries," the CHP said. The driver of the Hyundai and a passenger were not injured.
