Florida Man Survives Gator Attack After Shooting Animal in Head

A 58-year-old Florida man was attacked by an alligator in Bushnell Tuesday evening. Investigators say the man saw the alligator on his property and shot it in the head. When he moved closer to make sure the alligator was dead, the eight-and-a-half foot long, 300 pound reptile lunged at him, biting him in the right leg. The man was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment.
