Justin Bieber Arraignment on Miami Beach DUI Charge Set for Valentine's Day

Singer to be arraigned in Miami-Dade on Valentine's Day

A judge has set total bond to $2500 for Justin Bieber following DUI arrest.

Singer Justin Bieber's formal arraignment date in South Florida on DUI, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license charges has been set for Valentine's Day.

Miami-Dade Judge William Altfield will preside over the 9 a.m. arraignment on Feb. 14, Miami-Dade State Attorney's Office spokesman Ed Griffith said Tuesday. It's unknown whether Bieber will attend.

The 19-year-old pop star was booked into the Miami-Dade Jail after he was arrested Thursday in Miami Beach. He was later released on bond.

Miami Beach Police said Bieber smelled of alcohol when he was stopped after racing down a residential street in a rented yellow Lamborghini early Thursday. After his arrest, the pop star admitted to consuming alcohol and prescription medications and smoking marijuana, Miami Beach Police Chief Raymond Martinez said.

The ordeal created a frenzy of media attention and fan reaction.
