Man With First US Penis Transplant Returns Home to Heal

The man who received the nation’s first penis transplant is heading home. Thomas Manning is leaving Boston’s Massachusetts General Hospital three weeks after the operation. The 64-year-old plans to travel with his mother and a family friend to his home in Halifax, where Manning is looking forward to enjoying his own bed and his mother’s cooking. He says he isn’t in pain and that his body seems to be accepting the transplant.
