Firefighters are worked to extract one man, two others suffered minor to moderate injuries.

Several lanes of the southbound 405 Freeway in Culver City were closed Wednesday morning as firefighters worked to rescue a man trapped in an overturned SUV.

Two other men in the older model Ford Explorer suffered minor to moderate injuries when the car overturned just before 6 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The vehicle blocked the carpool and number three lanes of the freeway near Jefferson Boulevard, just north of the 90 Freeway interchange, for a little less than an hour.

The extent of the man’s injuries is not immediately clear, and the cause of the crash was not available.

A SIG Alert was lifted by CHP before 7 a.m. and traffic delays were expected.
